Which diodes go where?
Have my 55 amp alternator disassembled for a rebuild. Removed 3 diodes from the end frame and 3 from the heat sink. After examining all 6 closely I can’t find any indication of which ones are positive and which ones are negative. I will be replacing all the diodes and hope the new ones I buy are marked positive and negative, but still not sure which ones go in the end frame and which ones go in the heat sink. I’m guessing the 3 positive go together in one place and the 3 negative go together in the other place, but which goes where?

Diodes.
Probably should have tested them using a multi-meter on the Diode setting before pressing them all out of the heat sink. Make a hand drawn diagram of how all of those go back in.

Neg in end frame and pos in heat sink. Usually they are marked red being pos and black being neg. I hope you have all the insulators in order. If you need them I have them and the capacitor with the lock ring
