Well i got all the welding and griding done and started to bodywork the areas I welded in.I ordered the one piece floor the other day so I am prepping the car to install it.I removed the convert only braces which need a little repair before they go back in.I also cut out the rear part of the floor and set the car up on stands while still on the rotisserie along with some bracing to get ready to cut the rest of the floor out.

Cool!!! Please take and post many pictures. You are really doing a good job. Do you think the new floor has all the detail it should? From your pictures, it looks to be a quality piece.
Thanks for posting your pictures. Paul

So far the pan looks really good.I need to reuse the brackets for the rear seat and the front buckets otherwise the seatbelt mounts are there which I thought i would have to reuse the old ones in the rear.so far I am really happy with it.

Novaracer, nice work. If I could only learn to metal work and weld like that, I'd be moving along on my project too. Keep the pics coming!

Novaracer, you are doing a great job. I know you said the wheels were 18s, what size tires did you run?

got the floor in and positioned with sheetmetal screws then welded the braces in and a few other parts. Then I got it off the jackstands so I could turn the rotiserie again to weld up the bottom better.still a bunch of welding to finish but getting there.

Looks a little smoky in the room - is that from welding, smoking or just the camera? Great looking work by the way - takes a lot of dedication and talent to go this far into a project; I admire that effort!

Stick with the white interior. Black gets very hot in the sun.
Great restoration. |

How about some of your thoughts on the floor pan. Do you recommend going this route? Would you do it again?
