POCI ETC (Early Times Chapter), Canandaigua, NY
Regrettably, this is NOT an upcoming event, as today was its final day- I wish I had known about it earlier. But fortunately this morning's rain was light and I enjoyed the show of flathead Oakland/Pontiac/GMC vehicles. And... got to visit with Pete and Andi Woodruff (who produce the Tri-Power Pontiac Nationals each year at Norwalk)- they drove their Pontiac ('52?) from Ohio. I had no idea they were "into" older Pontiacs, so was surprised to learn that Pete's on the board of directors of ETC. I also chatted with Don Keefe (of the defunct High Performance Pontiac magazine), who was covering this event for Smoke Signals (POCI periodical). Pete, Andi, Don, and at least a few others in the crowd immediately recognized Jim Wangers' 'Bandit' Suburban as I rumbled into a parking spot. It truly is a "small world" in regards to Pontiac fans!
