Default Input needed on console less F bodies.

Hi All,

Has anyone seen any no console manually trans cars with Delux interior? I have seen a couple standard interior cars without.

I have a 74 that is going to get new carpet and was thinking of running it console-less.

Or i could use a really nice saddle four speed console without power window hole LOL

I kinda like the console-less look Brad. I would not see why Deluxe interior would change that but I am not sure. You would probably want to go with the non-console Hurst stick though #7945. It is more straight than the #7244 that came with the console.

Not a deluxe interior - console was full of cigarette burns and auto to boot...

I have a saddle one, but can't remember if it has the PW hole or not. I can look tonight.

I have a saddle 4 speed console out of a 77 without the PW hole. Its in reasonable shape for its age. One small crack by the passenger side corner, and two small cracks down low that the seatbelts would cover. The console lid is crap though. Has the map tray, but one corner mount broken.

Brad, I will get some pictures tonight or tomorrow and send them to you. I didn't have my phone with me last night.

My ‘76 was ordered with custom interior and it doesn’t have a console, so it certainly was an available combo.

I have a 1-of-110 455 4-speed 1976 T/A that was ordered console delete- I am the second owner and the original owner said he ordered it this way so his wife could be closer to him...It has A/C as well.

It's a good think you spoke up;
I was going to reply that I seem to recall reading somewhere that I recall reading somewhere that the console became standard equipment for 1975;
Maybe that was on the Formula model, or maybe it had something to do with if the car had an automatic transmission option??

It is worth pointing out that if your car is originally a car ordered with a console, you're going to need to cut off the brackets.

The first one looks kinda funny to me because it has the deluxe dash and door panels, but standard seats...

I think it was called American Classics. It was on MotorTrend satellite tv, Sunday, about 6:30 AM (my time), I turned it on a little before 7:00, so it was probably the last interview. I just remember a J. name with your last name and a white Grand Prix w/Ohio plates and Packers surround.
