Default Never Mind

Who gets tired of hearing oh it's a Ventura. Never mind I don't think I will take a look. And the next thing they say is does it have a big block. This is coming from car guy's. Now I know these cars are not well liked but come on. Sorry for the rant. Must be the heat.

If I could fire a rocket from a rocket launcher at every Nova I see, I would.

I feel your pain.

I also feel your pain....My brothers get great pleasure from calling my 74 GTO a Nova....When I had my Ventura (i got the 74 GTO after I wrecked the Ventura), just before my brother painted it about 15 years ago, my other brother wrote "Nova" and "454SS" all over it....

Don't get me wrong I even like some Nova's. If done well. I even learned alot working on everyones Chevy stuff and some of mine. lol
I think most people don't understand the Ventura at all. There is more to them than just Nova parts.

It is not always the way the OP describes. Having the sound that a RAIV cam through headers and 3 inch exhaust attracts alot of attention. As some of you may know, "no va" means "doesn't go" in Spanish. When I get asked if my car is a Nova, I respond "No, this is a Si Va.

Last month, I went to a car show held at the MSD headquarters. As soon as I arrived I was surrounded by MSD bigwigs. It turns out they have a Ventura test mule in their stable. They took me inside for a tour. It does have a modern corporate drivetrain but that is the way of the world these days. They were on the lookout for an entire Nova front clip because they were missing the Ventura hood. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a junk Nova but they figured finding a hood for a Ventura would be next to impossible. I sold them the hood they were seeking and ensured at least the car would remain a Ventura.

That is exactly why we created the hood for my '73. It has the 1st gen Firebird super 400 hood modified for the Ventura.

Those guys were not going to go thru that kind of effort. I really like your hood.

I don't know how to blow up my avatar, but if I did, you could see my plate says NTANOVA.

I even have had a hat made up a few years ago that says on the front "Pontiac Ventura II and on the back it says "It's not a Nova"

I have only had a few people call my car a Nova. Most people around here don't know what my car is,the front end must throw them off.
