A 4L80 is basically a TH400 with an overdrive. Tons of people running them N/A, Boost, Nitrous, etc. Talk to one of the one of the better known O.D. builders like Art Carr or Performabuilt.

Are you just asking if they work with boost? Thousands use them as its a good choice for OD in a street car. I went 700r4 only because it was 18yrs ago annd the 4l80 wasn't a viable option then but will be using one next. Actually already built under my bench waiting for me to finish the motor

3-4 Upshift is firm and low-latency. I don't have Boost, just porting.

Default 4l80e

Well I have a 400 now that is we’ll built , but I want to keep it a automatic shift under boost I currently have a check valve on on modulator and it’s working ok on the street but with a 4l80e the shifts are programmable and do not require a vacuum modulator but requires a lot of mods like adaptor plate, shorter driveshaft , speedo adaptor , trans computer , new convertor , etc ,

Yes, I have a 4L80e behind my blower motor in my GTO...love it....cost is high but it is a great trans. and works well. What exactly do you want to know? My trans. was built by CK Performance on Long Island. 1967 GTO....ericaull@yahoo.com

Are you letting the controller shift your car automated? I like the fact you can basically tune the trans like shift hardness , shift points ,
