I have the original off my '73 Formula project, but like many, it needs some repairs. I bought a heat stapler and 3m epoxy to fix it, but its a bit down the list.

So the centre support is on the steel Valance or the plastic or both???
I'll take a pic of the bracket on my survivor car for you tomorrow. It is used on the plastic valance in the center. I believe Ames sells a repop of the bracket that one of our very talented member produces.

If the PP plastic valance is good enough for BWB's Formula, then it shall be more than adequate for my blue car.

Thanks guys for the great response and information. It turns out the valance I have on my car is metal and I think off a 71-72. So I ordered a 73 valance from Ames. But it doesn't look like the old amber parking lights won't work with in the new valance? So any suggestions? Didn't realize it was going to go this deep into changing out more parts! I can try to get some pictures if needed.

Drag racing. An adrenalin rush like no other. It felt like going into combat, tasting your first beer, and losing you virginity, all in about 8 seconds.

You will need the Amber capsules, for later 72 and 73 . Ames sells them. You will also need a front light harness for this style light capsule. Ames has those as well.
