Default 74 Sd sells on Barrett Jackson

Lot #755 red on red automatic 74 Sd455 sells for $58,300 all in. Is this where the price of 74 should be or was this a good buy?

It depends on the quality of the car, but seems fair for "only" a '74 auto..

if you search '74 SD automatics that have sold at BJ -Arizona, that is about the lowest price of any going back 10 years. I'd have to guess the bidders just weren't liking the car for some reason. That car has been for sale online and eBay for some time.

I see that there is another SD going for sale today a blue automatic. Should be fun to see how close in price they end up.

I have seen a lot of nice cars go for reasonable prices so far don’t worry one more day and the crazy prices will be back.

I thought that was on the cheap side for that, but you never know what they look like in person.

I saw a 70-72 white T/A coming up on the block, but of course they went to commercial. They needed to show us two Polaras and a Cadillac XLR for 20 minutes.

Admiralty > Buck IMHO for desirability as far as only color is concerned.

This is where infatuation meets reality. That price was fair money especially when you factor in buyer's premium and shipping.

Red on Red may be a limiter, it could be a love it or not combo. It does seem like a new low $$$ on SD Birds of late though.

It was meant to be a joke..

Back to this specimen, this underhood shot may explain some of the low price. Many incorrect/missing parts and finishes...

Headers? Non factory exhaust? And it hits six figures? Wow. Well sold.

Headers are plenty incorrect, but on a full breathing SD would be hard to yank them off On healthy 455's, they just flat out work.
