Default Crower: Aluminum 1.7s 1/2 price. solid lifters too

I was looking around Crowers website and noticed their Pontiac aluminum roller rockers less than half price.
#72821-16 was 624.58 $ now 298.00$
That 1.7 ratio is pretty interesting for a stud rocker.
Also their solid flat tappet lifters with cam saver #66983X3-16 were 151.62 $ now 79.00 $
Thought I would put it out there. Those are some great deals. Kicking around the rockers myself.

Some great clearance deals now and then. I got a set of the 6.8" big block sportsman rods for $425 a while back.

I just ordered a set for myself. Need them to get lift I want with a particular cam.
Free shipping too so that is a great deal. It does not seem to be a sale to just get rid of old stock. They are back ordered so I have to wait a extra few days.
Has anyone get their solid lifters at 1/2 price yet ? Now if they could only do the same thing for our roller lifters !

That's odd that a sale on existing stock is on back order.

Mine just showed up. Its always nice to have those black Crower boxes show up.
They look to have some sort of shot peening done to them. Surface has the little bumps all over. Very nice, especially for 300$ with free shipping. Still on sale.

How is the geometry on them at the valve tip?

Does Crower claim them to be Cast, Forged or Billet aluminum? The texture looks Cast.

Odd, the set I got are much smoother looking.

I wonder if my set was tumbled, and yours was not?

Yours looks a lot better than dragncars. Even the writing on yours looks to be higher quality

Called Crower, yours came out of a earlier batch. Some were tumbled more than others. It effects nothing but appearance.
The reason Crower is putting their aluminum RRs on sale is they are discontinuing their aluminum rockers and going all in on SS rockers.
The stud mount SS rockers go for 674$ I can get them for 613.78$
Their shaft mount SS Endura (awesome) go for 1708.69$ I can get them for 1633$
Anyone interested. let me know.

In post 6 you say they're back ordered and now you say they're clearing out old stock and won't be made. Curious why they sold out and now made more. Not looking for an answer just seems curious

Who knows ? I can only tell people what I am told myself. There was more than one run made of the rockers they are selling, slight difference in finish. At any rate, 300$ shipped for a rocker of that quality is a steal. And the highest ratio stud mount Pontiac rocker I know of.
Today I got a "in" at Crower so that is a good thing.

Has anyone mocked the 1.7 rockers up to see if the geometry looks good on them?
