Some 1969 finds
Friend recently bought a 1969 428 Ventura that's got a load of paperwork. I'm cajoling him to let me post some pics but I dunno....hopefully this post piques interest for more.

I picked this one up a little while ago...
Points were junk but it fired up with a new set. The disc brake rotors are bad and calipers are frozen so it needs a new front end braking system. I think the only real option it doesn't have is the 428HO. |

That's a beauty. Is the body/paint original or has it been redone?

It's been redone in places, you can see the overspray in the trunk and the door jams are not as bright as the rest of it. Car has been off the road since 1987. It is a Washington car and not rusty at all outside of the underhood surface rust that plagues a car that sits for decades.

You could maybe send the brake calipers to White Post, they can sleeve the cylinders and rebuild them. https://whitepost.com/brake-sleeving...ding-services/

Alright, so it seems my friend is in deliberations and doesn't fully own it yet, so I've amended the initial post to keep some things on the DL.
Here's the Ventura he bought.... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...a-ventura-428/ |

Very cool docs!
Interesting that the build sheet was for overseas export. Was it exported? Also has the owner on the build sheet. Was he a Pontiac worker? Cool options on it.

That didn't work out but it was a 69 Catalina 2 door in Colorado for sale at $13,800. Nice shape, 400/th400, pale yellow with green interior and vinyl top.

More pics, car is listed at 13,800. Hard to go wrong with a good interior, clean body and decent paint.
