Ran across a guy that has an original set of TA fenders and a TA hood. I have a good idea what the hood is worth what about the fenders? Thanks

Are the fenders for a Trans Am or for a Firebird. The Trans Am fenders will have the cut out for the extractors in them from the factory.

Two repo fenders with repo extractors would be about $815 without shipping, cutting , fitting, etc so I would start there and expect them to be more.
More importantly, what does "the guy" think they're worth?
You didn't mention what condition they were in.

I didn't get a real good look at them but he said they are pretty straight with no rust, they have been in AZ since new and stored inside for over 20 years. He has not given me a price and I didn't ask, I didn't really want to make an offer without knowing what they might bring on the open market. I don't currently have a need for them so I would sell them and use any profit to fund the current resto on my 69 Firebird.

JMO. I think the extractors are worth about 500 for the pair. Fenders maybe 750 each. Its easy enough to convert a bird fender. Hood 4 to 8k. Gotta find someone that needs a hood and most of the people who needed hoods found them. So that leaves someone who wants one for inventory and they will not pay a lot for them.

My 69 TA was parted out in the southwest before I got the shell. Wonder if those pieces came off my car. Does he happen to have a YW 400 and PQ transmission from a 69 TA??

I didn't get a very good look at any of the stuff. He has a huge shop full of Firebird and GTO stuff. Its piled high, deep and in the rafters. He is one of those guys that has had the stuff for years and is not really concerned about selling it. I'm going to go over there agian in the next week or two and see if I can get a good look, maybe take some pics.

He said the TA clip was on a 350 car he bought and parted out over 20 years ago.
