Default 1964 389 will a turbo 350 bolt on

I have a 64 Bonneville 389 I paid 4k for the car was going to part the car and keep the engine. Will my 1971 350 transmission bolt to the 389. Is the 389 worth keeping or sell the entire car together ?

I’ve never seen a 1964 block that wasn’t drilled for a starter.

1964 389 GTO and 326 Tempest engines all had a block mounted starter.

Even the 1964 421 HO that’s in my ‘64 Le Mans convertible has provisions for a block mounted starter even though in a factory big Pontiac installation they didn’t use the block mounted starter.

Same here so far I scored a 64 389 block a while back and it was coded as base engine code Catalina and although it was a slim jim application it was also drilled and tapped just fine, not junk .

My ‘64 389( 250hp two barrel) is from late February/early March 1964; drilled and tapped for a block mounted starter..

Unless there is something wrong with the Bonneville trans why not keep it? They were good transmissions unlike the ROTO that was in the Catalina/GP.
