Default 1965 GTO Pricing

I have the opportunity to buy a 1965 GTO and would like to get opinions of actual value of the car. It’s on the east coast and I’m in the west and it’s a friend of the family’s car. I haven’t seen in person, if you click the pics and read the info he gave me on it could you give a round a bout price. Guy doesn’t have computer so pics are scanned from a friend. Thanks for any replies.

Especially since you’re dealing with a friend of the family, I can’t emphasize enough how important looking at it first will be.

Since Pontiac prices are dropping, I'd say $22,000-$24,000 if it needs nothing and is turn key and go.

Since it's on the east coast I would want to see underside pics.

I think that’s light for a recently restored, numbers matching, tri power 4 speed. Bummer that he didn’t leave it white and gold - I don’t think I’ve seen that combo before. Red and black isn’t exactly unique.

... light IF that paint looks good, his claims check out, it looks good underneath, etc. by the way the seller hyped it up in that letter, his expectations are pretty high.

Where on the East Coast? Maybe a member out here could give it a look-see for you

I've seen a bit of members asking other members to look at items for them. Mostly cars, occasionally other items of interest. Can't hurt to ask. Pictures from 15+ feet away just doesn't do it. Plus there are usually less than 10 pics just showing the general aspects of the car.
