Nice. A guy around town here has one like it (cameo/tri-blue/tri-power/4-spd). I've always liked that car.

Ed Giolma also has a shelltone ivory, tri-tone blue, bucket seat ventura. I don't know if it's his car you're referring to?

That would be the one. Saw it again last night at a show parked in a group of GTO's... I'd take the '61.

nice car, pontiac_newbee. how wide are your 20's in the rear? the tires look like 40 series maybe? could you have gone bigger, like a 50 series without any fit problems?

im not knocking your choice, it looks cool. im just asking because im tossing around the idea of 20" amercian racing torque II's in the rear of mine, 17" in the front, but would like to go no smaller than a 50 series.

The wheels are all around 20x8.5 wide with 225/35/20zr tires 5on 5.0 lug size and a +10mm Offset. I was lucky I can just barely fit my hand in between the rear fender and the wheel. If you wanna go any wider you probably have to go with a shorter rear end. but 225 is plenty of tire.

ive got alot of time to think about it though, ive still got some engine and body work to do...lol

Pitts,
The exhaust shop I go to ended up making me an H pipe that looks like it also serves as a driveshaft loop to get around the crossmember on my Catalina!
Is it 2-1/2" all the way back?
If so, please post some photos of how it went past the rear axle. I did turndowns because they said there was no room for 2-1/2" pipes due to the rear control arms...

Thanks
Jon

Spring has finally arrived in tropical Minnesota...the grass is turning green and the leaves on the trees are coming out.

I picked up a new battery to replace the one that crapped out last fall, and took my car out for a spin.

You're coming all the way from Norway for the Back to the 50s show? Wow!

I've been going there for at least 25 years, but always as a spectator. I am thinking about bringing my car this year. Either way, let me know when you're going to be in town.

For those not familiar with this show, it's one of the biggest car shows in the country - they usually get upwards of 10,000 cars and trucks, 1964 and earlier.
