Wow. That looks too nice to put in a car; I think you should display it on your desk at work....

Interesting that the bellhousing is Pontiac engine blue.

Tom, is that just personal preference on your part or is that restoration-correct to paint it?

Thumbs up Coming along nicely..........

I think that Tom is looking for the rare roof rail reading light option, like I have in my 66 GTO. They act as courtesy lights in one switch position and reading/map lights in the other position.

You might add opera lights to the description.

You might contact Matt Planning Engine-ear he's a big 62 fan and may have something.

Pretty much they are Cast iron colored. I never ran across one painted engine color. At best some on the very front edges could have some engine paint overspray.

I am not suggesting that /in '62/ they were /never/ painted, but I have only seen 'natural' iron (which gets that oh-so-attractive layer of Fe2O3 on it) on the five stick '62s I have either owned or dismantled.

Tom, I will look for the map/dome light you are looking for but I don't think I have one.

The car looks great, so does that old car compound you've got there, life must be great in California.
