That would be correct for closed PCV systems only.

When I ordered it I thought it was a breather cap. Not correct for my 66'.

The AC FB42 is still a good # but the newer caps don't have the stampings and not exactly like the NOS shown.
Stant also has a plain jane cap that I have used, it just has to be painted black.

Is the cap in the OP good for 68/69's ?

Olds used that cap for many years so NOS ones are still out there.
Yes it will work on 68-9
