I hope it sold and will remain stock, not to many 67 Tempests of any sort left, let alone a 4-speed sprint! Most have been turned into GTO's!!!!! I think there are more GTO's on the road today then they ever made!!!!!!

Its a nice example,. but the money seems really long for a car in that condition.

It looks rather bland. The Tempest doesn't have the chrome pieces on the quarters behind the doors and the white looks kinda washed out. The smooth hub caps don't help at all. I'd put on some rallye II's to sharpen it up. Or for 14's, nothing (to me) looks better than the spinner hub caps that were available for '67.

It doesn't say whether it's a 23307, or 23507, but it must be a tempest custom, with the rear seat armrests and carpet. Should there not be a "Tempest" call out on the flanks?

With a little TLC and the right wheels/tires it could look real sharp!

Oh, yeah. I remember that one. Nice wheel and tire combination. Those three chrome pieces at the very back of the upper quarters were for non-sprint 233 cars, were they not?

Jeff, didn't you fix up the scenery on that image?

IIRC the 3 spears on the rear were on the Sport Coupes, Don't think it has anything to do with engine. I'll have to check my body book.

Yes I did photoshop the Big Blue House out of the background

Not that familiar with the 67s but I think the 3 vertical chrome strips indicate it is a base Tempest and not a Tempest Custom. I do not think it had anything to do with whether it was a Sprint car or not.

1966 Base Tempest had 3 chrome strips on lower front fender behind wheel.

For a minute I did a double take;;;;
my 67 Sprint is a sport coupe thats white and optional black interior
could be a sister to that one, even have 14x7 Rally IIS sans trim rings on mine right now.
Yes the base Tempest used the 3 spears on rear of 1/4,Sprint or not, sport coupe or not.

With all the different versions pictured, I wonder why Pontiac did not include the Tempest Custom 2 door Hardtop for either year.

Seems pretty strange to see 2 different

Favorite illustration may be the 67 Tempest Safari wagon. Never seen that before.

Thumbs up The wagons are way cool,

But I really like the one showing the 8-Lugs on the A-Body.
Wish they could have made it into production, always thought they were cool as sh!t.

G
I meant included it in the illustrations.

I am partial to the 66 Tempest Custom, that was/is my first car! From 1978 until about 1986, it had a few different one barrel motors in it, but always backed by the 2 speed ST300 and 2.?? rear gears.

It was a pooch until about 30 mph then the engine would wind up pretty hard and shift into 2nd at about 65 mph. Fun.

I have a confession, this car now has a 455 T350 in it. But I still have 2 Sprint Lemans cars (hardtop and convertible) that I promise will stay original.
