Not in a GTO, but in my first Pontiac, a 1975 Grand LeMans in 1983. Mr. Gatti's Pizza in Houston Texas. If I remember correctly in addition to an hourly wage, we were paid .50 cents per delivery plus tips. Gas was so cheap (about .85 cents a gallon) that even with the L78 400 in a 3800 lb car I still made money on each delivery on the .50 cent per trip deal.

I love all those old slogans they had back then. "We knead the dough"
you couldnt have a slogan like that nowadays cause it sounds like it was made up be a couple guys, hangin' out drinkin beer. Nowadays they have marketing people and all the slogans are boring. The north=east had the best ones. ( I grew up in Vineland NJ)

When I was 18 I delivered for a deli in my 1970 455 ho 4 speed convertible . Made no money that thing drank alot of gas. Finally broke 2 nd gear that 455 torque sheered the teeth right off the gear. That was the end of delivery days. Ah to be young and stupid again. Now I'm just not young anymore. Lol

Default Yes I have!

i've glanced at this thread a few times & thought " well, i made pizza 2 pay the 1st few notes on my goat, & i parked it rite beside the pizza joint every nite, but i don't remember ever delivering any pizza in it." i mentioned this to T.J. & she said she remembered me delivering pizza in it several times. she said that her & my sister told me what kind they wanted, then i would make them myself & bring them home in my trusty ole '69 ra3, 4sp, 3.90 gear goat. & i can assure you i consumed large quantities of pizza in that goat myself! we could have all the pizza we wanted, so since money was tite & i loved pizza--it was a situation that must have been made in heaven! i'll post the pizza & goat pics again.

My brother used my 1974 GTO to deliver pizzas from Nona's pizza here in Sterling Hts. He worked there around 1981-1983. It had a 1971 300hp 400 from a Grand prix. His buddy who also delivered pizza used his 1971 Formula 400 Firebird.

Never delivered but did pick one up once. The guys at work ordered a pizza and i said i would pick it up. They said it was big and I might want to take the guys wagon. How big could it be. Went over in my 67 GTO and the pizza was 36". My trunk was full so I put the pass. seat forward and down and stuffed a bunch of stuff to support the back of the box. Got to work and it collapsed in the middle. That was a mess on parchment interior.

Cool Pizza Delivery

About '66, my friend in Royal Oak, MI had a Green '64 ragtop, tri-power, auto, black top, dog dishes. He was kind of an undisciplined jerk, but he had a '64 Goat! Went along one night as he delivered pizza. Sometimes the tops of the cardboard boxes would get smashed into the toppings. He did'nt care (about probably anything). I don't think he lived to see 25 years old. Drove that Goat like a friggin maniac. That was the one (and last) time I rode in it.

When I lived in NY, Vito's Pizza in Westbury had a delivery guy driving a 04-06 GTO.

No pizza but I did deliver newspapers from my '69 4spd. convertible during the winter of 72-73. I would get all bundled up, put the top down and cruise around chucking the old Philadelphia Bulletin onto driveways. Looked like good side money at the time but only lasted a couple months - gas was eating me up and it was hard on the clutch but I sure did get a lot of stares.

Back in the late 90's I delivered pizza for little Caesar's in a ratty '70 GTO with the normal kid mistakes. 10:1 compression with a Comp Cam's 292 Magnum cam. Car had headers with 3 inch exhaust. Also had no stall with 2.73's. Gauges did not work so I ran out of fuel a lot. Was loud and fun though

Not a GTO, but a T-41 Lemans Wagon with a 455. First owner of my wagon is the owner of Papa Toms Pizzeria in Idaho Falls. I'm presuming it was used for pizza delivery one time in it's life.

I delivered pizza in a 70 Formula, 69 Judge and a 71 Judge, around McGuire Air Force base back in the late 70's when I was stationed there. I made more money delivering pizzas on a Friday night in tips than I did all week with my military pay. The Poncho's I used to buy and sell as guys went overseas and sometimes had to sell thier vehicles. I wish I could have kept them all, if only I knew then....
