Default Positive battery cable routing on 66 GTO

Can someone tell me the routing of the positive battery cable routing on a 66 GTO. Does it come back toward the toe board and follow the inner fender to the battery or does it go forward over the cross member and to the battery? It seems to be a real PIA to keep it away from exhaust manifold. Not to mention that starter is a real pain to install. A pic. would be helpful too if possible. Back toward the toe board and around clutch linkage etc. just don't seem quite right.

Positive cable runs from the top of the inner fender well and then crosses over the steering shaft to a metal tube mounted behind the exhaust manifold. Then down to the starter.

Thank you. It appears that all 3 starter wires go through that tube correct?
