Strange Method For Oil Galley Plug Retention
First time I have seen this method for retaining the front press in oil galley plugs. Now if they had only put the piston/rod assemblies in the correct bank and lined up the timing marks on the timing gears properly they probably would have had a decent running engine.

Looks like they tried peening them in with a railroad spike then went full on Larry the cable guy on it.
I like the lettered rods, I guess they were dyslexic though

A- C- E- G- You can see what looks like A C E & G on 4 rods which are #1, 3, 5, & 7 starting on the leftmost rod. That's in the correct order of A b C d E f G h. So the rods look fine to me unless I'm reading those letters wrong. |

That's the other pink that stinks! With this level of hacking, it would be VERY wise to do a full dis/reassembly....and score yourself fitycent ! Last edited by STEELCITYFIREBIRD; 09-10-2019 at 02:11 AM. |

They drilled the block for a aluminum rivet ?? A little JB weld and staking the plug will do it.
Besides, this guy needs his Pontiac card pulled for the paint job. |

What makes you think he has a card LOL.
"I don't need no stinking card" Maybe it was a Mary Kay car in a previous life

Does it have RRE stamped on it anywhere? Could be a Bruce Fulper engine. He is an expert Pontiac engine rebuilder after all.

Might have worked if he had used silver (1964 or earlier) quarters.
