Best fit headers I have ever installed on my 64 GTO 4 speed are the HO Racing Tri-Y headers on there now.
Second best was a set of 3 piece JR Racing Headers with slip on collectors (split head flanges obviously) and slip on collectors. Third best was some headers made by Mad Dog before he went south to Georgia. 24 Hardwood Ridge Pkwy, Adairsville, GA 30103 Mark worked for several years for JR Headers and several more for Hedman headers BEFORE he opened his own shop. Very good Pontiac Header fit. Tom V.

Best 'headers' to use are the 67 HO Ram Air manifolds. Better fit, no maintenance or problems that you get from headers.

Had JR's for over 50 years until they they started to spring holes, were great and then purchased Coated Dougs. Installation was kinda normal for headers, had to remove starter and lift the motor out a little, but they perform and look great. The hardware kit was complete and worked. No banging on them with a hammer for clearance either. The installation was on my 64 4 speed car and worth the effort. Hope this helps

I agree. My '65 has run the same crappy looking 3 tube Heddman's for the past 38 years, though. When I 'upgrade' I'll go to the RA manifolds and be done with it!
