Finally!! I got my 63
It finally happened. The planets aligned and a very nice 63 popped up for sale and I was in position to snatch it up. I've been a long time lurker here and really never posted but now have something to brag about. I drove a total of 4,367 miles to get this baby (Georgia to California and back). Looks to be a California car all it life as it has all original Sheetmetal and no patch panels. The body is excellent. The car has been hot rodded, mini tubs, 9" rear, coil overs and ladder bars. 400 with dual 4 barrels, headers 3" exhaust, TH350 trans.
The gentlemen who I bought the car from didn't know much about the internals of the engine or the overall drivetrain as he wasn't the one who built the car. The person who he bought it from is "Ronald Wood". The address on the title has him listed as residing in the La Quintia CA area. If anyone knows him, please help me get in contact with him. I was also told this car was drag raced and campaigned under the name "Twisted Gator". Any info on the car's history is greatly appreciated. |

Sounds like a fun car, congrats! Is this the one Tom s was trying to help sell for a friend? Regardless, he probably knows the car.

Beautiful, looks like it was worth the long drive! Pretty sure the car Tom was helping to sell was unfinished

I almost bought that car but got this one instead. Thanks to Tom for all of his help in getting it to me from California. Both are pretty neat cars IMO.

It looks better in the pictures than it actually is and it has a few minor issues I'm futzing with. This is your thread though. I hope to see you and your car at Norwalk I'm taking mine.
