1980 pontiac sunbird BIG turbo v6 look
i know right now is a hard time to sell but im gauging intrest in my car. ive got some bills id like to pay off and get myself into a better financial situation. i dont want to or have to sell my car but just thought id list it see what happens.
1980 pontiac sunbird 4.3 chevrolet v6 bowtie alum heads flow 317/210 @600lift 300/200@500 224 525 110 roller comp cam 11.0 cr E85 CSU carb been seeing 15psi with no signs to detonation fuel system good to 1k horse should be 500wheel on 15-16psi th350 pro built trans 3k redneck stall (tight) 7.5corperate rear 28 spline auburn pro diff 3.23s approx weight 2750 havent been on the dyno yet with boost but did make 260 wheel NA so thats 1hp per ci NA through a 700r4 and 3k stall at that time not bad. i can tell you ive rode in several 10 second cars and this car compares to all of them and actually i can almost promise mid 6's with slicks and 12-16 psi. motor is strong,all the turbo kit was built by me and has less than a couple hundred miles on it. turbo is s400 sx from turbodaves.com T4 1.10 ar and comes in approx 3700rpm and acts like nitrous when it does. this car needs slicks and a few finishing touches im asking 11k obo

killer car for sure!!! very neat! but will be a very hard sell because of the v-6. if it had a 455 it would be bought already. good luck.

It's a unique car, you can't by a fast , properly built turn key, custom turbo car with the 1000 hp capable Turbo/Fuel system and all for $3000..That engine without the turbo is worth that.. If you want to be a Rude ... Jack A** maybe you and Scott M can start your own forum and bad mouth cars you are not going to buy.. As is it , is at least 500 HP at the crank with 7 psi...out of a V6.. The heads are incredible an it is 11:1 + plus boost and Pump Alky fuel...proven streetable cruiser, scary fast on and boost at all.

Actually I onced owned a 79 Sunbird with a Buick V6 and that car was fun to drive. Yeah, It's worth more than $2-$3K. Sorry about that!

This car drove to the dyno today and on the E-85 fuel , as is , in hi-boost (15-16?? psi)
It did 630 RWHP , 575 RWTQ letting off at 5700 rpm ! Then he drove it back home. 4.3 V6 ....

Well, If the tune ever sorts out to launch hard it will be just a matter of time...on the other hand, I have seen a certain NOS 383 Iroc Z that ran mid 6's in the 1/8th with one and get a lot of runs ...automatic with no transbrake lasts a long time versus a 6-spd LS1 car or transbrake...plus lighter car needs less axle to, and small tires help...

Flow sheet
Not how fast power is gaining at 5000+ , throttle lifted at 5700 rpm it was not done by any means....
With the 3000 stall street setup with the tranny , the torque levels are low at that point and won't break that 7.5" rearend... Now tubbed out with a Dana 60 and a 5000 stall/brake !!!! look out

i think the rear is going to be fine! its not a nitrous hit from a BBC in a 3800lb a body.. its got so much power you can leave like granny and still lay down big times. car is off the market UNLESS some very interesting trade came along. i e the right big car poncho
