Default 1974 ventura 2

bracket car - 455,th400,4.10's,good 6 point, body fair, ladder bars, hooks, 60' times in the 1.60's, runs 7.30's 1/8, 11.80's 1/4. hasn't run since 2010. robbed starter for dirt car.750 vac holley may have dried out shrunk gaskets. needs slicks, front wheels,starter.$3000 as is. $2000 less motor. good starter car for someone with limited building skills. a mild 400 would run low 13's or hi 12's.

DIG IT! 11's for 3 beans & a few hours of work! I'd love to have it, but I need to get rid of some other before I go buying another! PM me if you're interested in trades. FYI: pics are a NECESSITY if you're serious about selling

Default new info on '74 vent

i'll get it running, with a new gear reduction starter, & 10.5" slicks with only 8 passes on them, & 2 new red top gel cel batts. new price $4000. + i'll pay 1/2 the truck freight to you up to $500. there's no possible way to build an 11 sec car this cheap from scratch in the 21st century. there are 5 pics on the pontiac stories site under "where i came from"

Default more specs

heads are #215 which from what i could find were off a '68 400 2bl. the guy i bout it from didn't seem to know much about it other than what he put in the ad. everything he told me about it checked out. all i did was put a gear reduction starter on it when the stocker quit at the first race. after our track didn't open in 2010 i pulled the starter & put it on a dirt tracker. the slicks are wore out. the front wheels are bent (i assume from some big wheelies. the rear end is a 10 bolt 8.5". the ad said it was a posi. if so it seems to be about wore out. but, i suppose, because of the ladder bar set up, it hooks up good even with wore out slicks. because as you can see by the time slips it ran low 1.60 60' times. that was footbrakin from 2000rpm. it does have a deeper pan of some kind, but i haven't looked inside.
