Not my car.

No junk please. open to trades Price: $4,250.00 OBO Location: Garland, ME Phone: 207-717-7163 |

I am looking at a nearly identical GA, except it has a factory sunroof, and the 79-80 GA & GP only real wire wheels.
The car above looks nice but has a later model dash faceplate (woodgrain, should be silver like the console). It may come with the original, they may have changed it for an upgraded stereo. -Dave

I believe the Rally IIs are also incorrect for that year.
79-80 would have had Rally IVs wouldn't it? This is my favorite color combination for '79 Grand Am, but I think I like the gold cloth seats better. |

Still, it is a nice car. Here are a couple of photos of the one I am looking at purchasing:

Rally IV's were typically found on 80 Grand Ams.
79's typically had the snowflakes.... ...of the 25 Grand Ams I've had anyway. |

Also the fact that it was a low mile survivor. In late 1988-early 1989, there was an 8,000 mile Claret Red/Burnished Gold '79 coupe (same as the one in Maine) in Britt IA that I wanted reeaal bad. It was advertised in a regional trader mag that I bought in Michigan. Their asking price was $6500 and that's about all I had in the bank. If I had been within 200 miles, I think I would have pulled the trigger. That one had snowflakes and a cloth interior. I talked at length on the phone with the owner and they graciously sent me their color photos and a photo copy of the window sticker after it was sold to someone else. I still have them tucked away somewhere. Last edited by Lightfoot; 08-18-2014 at 12:39 PM. |
