Now that is totally awesome. I really want to make a GTO wagon someday, only convert it to a two door probably using post-coupe doors. I love the wagons.

Great inspiration for everyone who's in the process of restoring their cars.
I'm glad they sticky'ed this thread because of that point. Originally I didn't think it would go that far but it has been a good resource for me on ideas for color combos, rims and tires, suspension stance, all the way down to little details like options. Makes it so much easier than searching Google or hunting down people at car shows to completely look at every detail on a car.
The only bad part is that every car so far has been awesome to me so it kinda clouds my mind on what I want to do with my car.

That's not the bad part, that's the good part. Means you can hardly go wrong. Most any color you choose will look good because it's a good looking car!

Is that black or a dark blue? It looks black but it could go either way.

Here's mine, nothing to see yet...I am waiting for the new driveshaft before I put the body on my newly redone frame.

Very nice. I need to repaint my frame again I think. I'll probably just sand it and re-topcoat it. I used a traditional paint brush to put the Chassis Saver on and there are brush strokes everywhere.

I really like the look of that 'orange' (carousel red?) without the Judge graphics. Special order paint code or did you just decide to paint it that color as a personal preference?

Thanks, bench seat car was originally Mayfair Maize. Almost painted that color again in May 2009.

Wish the parchment car was a IV car. Only a sticker on a hood.

My first '68 was Mayfair. Still my favorite color on a hardtop '68...as long as it has a black interior.

Polished Mayfair Maize does look really good with black interior. Just so used to seeing it as a old flat dull yellow. Always forget how good it looks when fresh. First GTO I owned was a 68 with Mayfair and black interior.

Again, the non-Judge in orange looks good on the car. Orange is a muscle car color in my opinion.
Yeah, the Mayfair does tend to fade. For some reason, Chevy people seem to give the color more respect than Pontiac people. I see more Chevelles and Camaros in their version of the color (Butternut) than Pontiacs in Mayfair. Rarely seen on a '68/'69 Pontiac of any type. A little more common on the pre '68 cars.

I like both of those colors a lot. Nice pair of cars there.

I also have an expresso brown GTO convertible. Funny thing is that back in the 80's I got my hands on one of those original color chip sheets from a body ship, I think with the specials there were 21 colors for Pontiac that year.

I noted back then with a pencil in order of preference my choices for color and the 19th through 2st (last) choice were as follows, limelight, Mayfair maize and Expresso, go figure that now I have those three colors in my garage and I've grown to like them;-) I still have that sheet somewhere..
