Well After digging out Tom Langdons Old Racing engine from the Hole Shot 6 Anglia, I decided to take some pic's of the Home made Tri-Power he made for it. I did not get this Directly from Tom, it went thru anouther Camers hands that was going to but it in his 37 Pontiac 2 door sedan Street Rod, but he decided to make a vintage Hod Rod using the Flat Head Straight 6 that came in it.
So I jumped on the chance to aquire it, it has been modified for street use by shortening the intake runners by 50% to increase Low End Torque. It has also had the Log Manifold Modified to Use engine Coolant to heat it and the Venturies of the Holley Progressive 2bbl's mounted on it.
In its original form the intake runners actually wrapped over the top on the cam cover, and the log manifold and carbs sat on the passenger side of the engine!!!!!

And a couple of Detail shots, Notice how the lower Aircleaner lid was modified to use the 4 mounting bolts of the Holley's to secure it, also notice only the primary side of the Holley 2 bbls's have a Choke.

Picture #2 shows some of the linkage Details

And in the last picture I attempted to show how long the intake runners are, and imagine how high this intake and aircleaner sits above the engine!!!!

Now I need to fine a late 40's to early 50's 4 door Torpedo to but it in!!!! So if anyone finds a nice 4-door silver streak streamliner plz let me know!!!!

Jeff,

But you can't fit myfat Self, Wife, Luggage, and 2 Greyhound in a Anglia, That and I don't have the race version of the engine, different Cam, H cam I am told, but don't know for sure, mods to the intake and header, lower compression.

Jeff Here is a Link to the racing gallery on Toms site, it has 3 more pic's of the Hole Shot 6, 1 dating from the late 60's to about 71. I never knew he was Sponsered by Royal Pontiac back in the day!!!! Learn Something new every day. And yes a Ford, my bad. Maybe someone with better computor skills can nab those pic's and post them here.

http://stoveboltengineco.com/index.php/gallery/racing/

He used to have a Pic of the Bread Truck he used to use as Rolling advertising, and parts Hauler. Bt I can't seem to fing it now.

I agree but the Anglia wasn't all that big to begin with and I would think it had a glass nose.
But still cool to see a 6 making such a run

Thumbs up 1967 Lemans Sprint Euro Movie car still exsist.

A new member of the OHC board is the owner of a little known movie Pontiac.
I thought I would share it over here as well...

"Hello, i found this site by chance and i'm glad there are some people that appreciate this unusal American engine.
My car is the only one 67 Le Mans Sprint convt 4 speed imported from GM built for European market ( it has odom in chilometers and lighting system modified for our rules)
it's still white with black interiors, the B I G problem is the motor...actually about 10 years ago I had to give up with the six and put inside a 400 just to have the car running..
This car has quite an history in Italy because it appeared in five movies in 1971 and 1972..anyway I bought it in 1990 and since I had to rebuild the engine several times and I couldnt say
how many times I changed followers, lifters ecc...I also found another 230 to swap but it wasn't a 215HP and as you know performance were very different and it wasn't a good one too...
at the end the only chance to have a ride with this beautiful car was to quit the 230..
Today I'm thinking the possibility to "rebuild" the original ZD 230 and give again the Sprint look and performance..
Will post some picts if someone want to see them.

Roberto"

If it is the same car I'm thinking it is, I had come across this car while searching for OHC cars to add to my WEB CAMMER slide show. The first time I saw it was over on the IMCDB site http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=Pontiac&model=

Here is a short clip showing BRUCE LEE getting a ride in this '67 Lemans convertible. http://fliiby.com/file/460826/946v1mmqp1.html

It wasn't until recently that I came upon the same car used in a few ealyer movies.

I think that it is amazing that this car still exsist, we all know movie cars didn't fair well after years of use. I look forward to hearing more about this car from Roberto.
