Possibly thoughts of Ram Air for the Sprint? That'd be a COOL thing.

I think it was more of a styling exercise.

Default Finally! Decent test articals...

1st is an interesting twist with a So Cal Car Club.

Don't know which testing was completed first but this one also involves The Shifty Doctor
There is no dought that after/during the time Doc "Tested" the Tempest they came up with the components/parts used/needed in the "BABY BOBCAT" offering from ROYAL.

It’s hard to say with these old articles.
What I have been taking note of is how many of these write ups have/use the same photos.
I think many of these articles were written off the factory supplied spec sheets and photos.
So my bet would be an ill informed writer using a factory photo pack.

But again you never know.

when you think about it 1966 was a big year for engine development.
Nowadays someone comes out with a new design as often as a new body style

wow never read that last article before and glad I didnt.
I would have never bought a 66(or 67) had I known all those faults.
On a good note, having owned and driven one most of my adult life,Ive also never noticed them.
