Default GTO production figures by color combo?

Is there any way to estimate production figures for a certain color/trim combo? I'm restoring a 67 for a customer that to me is a unique combo, silver with a black vinyl top and red interior. The owner wants to switch the interior to black and I'm trying to convince him to leave it alone. Thanks for the help.

Sorry, there are no breakdowns into colors.

No but I did a search and only came up with a Silver Convertible with white top and Red interior. That is a great combo.

Do you know if he has had it checked with PHS.
If it is the way it came, "I" would leave as is or re-do as factory.

IMO, that is a striking combo, add red pin stripes to pull it all together,
if it doesn't have them already.

Does the data plate show those colors? Mine's silverglaze with black vinyl top, but I have the parchment interior.

You know I bought a candlelight cream 66 with a black vinyl top and a red interior. The wife calls it "the bloody bumble bee". Unusual? Sure. Desireable? Not so much. Irgoatmike

The red pin stripe would be great. I'll keep that in mind if I win the debate.

My Dad ordered a brand new '67 in that color combo with the red fender liners that he took delivery of in November of '66. I wish I had pics to share with you, but I don't.

Looked at a Platinum '66 with the red interior last year. No vinyl top, though. Looked absolutely stunning. Changine the red gut for a black one would be a huge mistake, IMO.

I had a Silver / Red Interior 67 GTO (no Vtop) once before
its a real zap-sizzle-kabang combo with red pinstripes and red fender liners.
But he might not be looking for the zap and sizzle.

Whatever owner decides is fine, but i wouldn't put a Vtop back on anything , even on a parts car.

Have seen many WHITE cars with Black tops and Red interiors.
Silver isn't too far off from that combo.

My 1st '67 HT was a code P with black interior which is why this post caught my attention.
I've always loved the Silver on Red on almost any car.
I did a little more digging and this was the closest I could locate;

Searched further and found the car,
A little over the top for me but truly one he!! of a stunning GTO

Numbers matching drive train too. Would be a shame to change it. But hey, it's not mine to decide.

Agreed, he should do whatever makes him enjoy his car more.
Basically a color change can always be reversed, however he should really study some silver on red cars to see how much more vibrant his car would be.
Keep us posted.
Cheers

Default headrest?

I hope he decides to keep it original, that would be a gorgeous car. Are those headrest seats? Looks like I could see where they belong.

A friend of mine has an original '67 GTO that is Silver with red interior. (no vinyl top) He is actually considering selling it after owning it for the last 35 years......
