Last sunny NW car show?
Looks like I caught the last sunny car show in Western WA. with my Esprit a couple weekends ago. Nice little "Musclecar" show at Griots in Tacoma. That weekend has several events happening, so we were down to about 55 cars. But I thought the Esprit showed fairly well. The bright sun really brings out the Springfield Green.
FYI, I bought this one 11 years ago from the original owners family & it now has just over 45K documented original miles. For free, I'll throw in a pic of one of my favorite non-Pontiacs. |

Good point! From this point on in 2016, sunny days become a rarity. You remember our weather here.
A few more pics for G.P. |

Thanks for the kind words guys.
I was expecting to get some razing taking this one to a Musclecar Show, since Esprits are 2bbl. & single exhaust material. But since there was plenty of room & only 4 Firebirds there, everybody was pretty cool with it. |

That (minus vinyl top) was color combo of my ratbird 72 F400 I never saw pretty like that. So very cool to see. I always suspected the Springfield was a color that would come alive in bright sun as always looked to me like it has little metalflakes in it. Great car.

Yeah, the sun brings out a lot of Gold in the metallic. Its finish is still mostly all the factory sprayed Acrylic Lacquer that appears to have been clear coated at some point. The previous owners however, know nothing about any clear coating having been done. It's left me to guess that the paint could have come damaged off the truck to the dealership & in the repair they "fluffed" it with some clear.
Whatever the reason, I'm glad they did it because it has more "depth" then lacquer alone would have. |

And how about making up the little master cylinder assembly ID tag for the bail? There's not much black paint left on the cylinder itself, but the tag has survived the years. If you need, I can take some (folded) measurements for you.

That is a sweet looking Firebird, and I'm a sucker for green.

How the heck did this get in this thread?? I was in a different thread when I composed this. Is there a way I can move this to where it belongs?
