Default Name that (not Pontiac) wagon.

OK, so I was out with my kid the other day driving some small RC cars and happened to see this tucked away in the back of a side yard. Its WAY rusted, and likely not salvageable. Definitely not something i'd want.

But it's driving me crazy as I thought I knew my 60's vintage cars pretty well and for the life of me I can't figure this one out.

At first I thought that huge roof rack was for like an airport limo, but a closer look has me thinking it's just a regular 4 door wagon.

Hmmm.... But when I google the '66 T&C, I get images with a horizontal grill that looks different. Yes, the roof rack looks similar. As do the front fenders, but the center piece looks different.

I believe David missed it by one year, this is a 1967 4 door sedan grille.

The 3 gold things in the middle of the grille and the cut out above the license plate area look the same to me.

More images of 1967 Chrysler station wagons:

Note all the crossbars used on the ones that have luggage racks, unusual styling that pretty much identifies it as a 67 Chrysler wagon.

I had a good friend in HS that had a 64 T & C wagon, that thing was huge. We could haul half of our band equipment in that car, an Excursion has nothing on that thing. Sadly he sold it to a demo derby guy right after graduation.

So I didn't find a long lost Bugatti racer in my neighborhood? One I could buy for like $500 and sell for a cool million at BJ? Dang.
