Hi Gerry et al-

I have a 68 bird with a mild 400, o68 cam Holley/ edlelbrock and switched to LBMs. I had them ceramic coated. NEVER had a hot start issue. I purchased these from HIS on the board and he hogged the dumps out to about 3 ". They work great, and dont leak. I think the sound is a touch deeper as well. I think I feel a difference above 3k rpm. Car doesnt see strip time though. I did use the angled oil filter adapter, and needed to switch from the PF24 FILtER BUT i forget what the new filter is.
I furthered this set up with 3" headpipes to 2.5 inch duals with Maganflows, "X" pipe and DMH low profile oval electric dumps. Great sounds!

I took off cheap 3 tube headers and have LB manifolds from RARE. The car just felt better to drive, I don't know how to describe it, maybe I am nuts, but it felt smoother. As far as the starter goes, I don't see how to get it out with out at least loosening the manifold.
