Default The Spint car world has lost a great driver Thursday night, Greg Hodnett

I'm aware that most people on here don't follow sprint car racing. Just wanted to post that a veteran driver lost his life Thursday night at BAPS Speedway, formerly Susquehanna Speedway, near York PA.

Greg Hodnett was a second generation driver of over 3 decades and was rookie driver of the year in 1993 with the World Of Outlaws. More recently he has resided in PA and become a member of the Pennsylvania Posse.

Here's a synopsis of his life and career:

I have seen him drive the Casey's General Store sponsored car a few time in Ohio when he toured with the WOO circuit. Sad to see one of the great talents at wheeling a sprint car gone at 49 YO.

Wife has relatives that race there, and they are talking about it on their Facebook.
