Default 81 T/A rear lens to upper quarter gap

Hello all, has anyone ever run into this? I just got my ta back from the paint shop and today I installed the rear bumper and the lenses and I have this ugly gap between the lens and 1/4.Thx in advance

I have several of these cars. I looked at them, and there's going to be some gap, and they vary. One is similar to yours, with about 1/4" or 5/16" gap on top with 1/2" in the curve. Yours looks wider on top. Have you tried loosening the plastic nuts, lifting the lens to close the gap and retightening the nuts?

Thx for the reply. I figured out what was wrong. It was a couple of issues , first the was a bow the right side lip of the tail panel , also when i bought the car i got it stripped down and the previous owner had done some metal work and had left to much seam sealer on both sides of the tail panel . With a bit of grinding and massaging i managed to get them to sit pretty good. Thx again for your help.
