She's legit
Got the insurance squared away, then went right over to the licensing center. Then we went driving. It was great. We drove around the neighborhood, ran a few errands, stuff like that. I realized that I had forgotten what it was like driving the Tempest when we first got it, with the original suspension and steering. HaHa. Got to re-do all that. But for now, we're just going to drive it and enjoy it. Everything works on the car. It's cool having the FM radio and power windows. Can hardly wait to get the A/C sorted. Then the cruise control.
Here's a pic of my son, all happy after getting the car plated. We're back in business. |

Congrats and nice to see another old Pontiac back in action! What's your plan with it?

Thanks! We plan to get all of the details sorted out. There are a few. We've done quite a bit already, like switching to HEI, getting the power windows sorted (they work great!), things like that. We're going to switch out the springs, and probably the steering box to a Lee or JGC unit. Most of that will happen this year. After that, we'll look at restoring it next year. We figure that with all of the options, like cruise, PW, AC, Safety-trac, etc., that this special car deserves a proper restoration.

Good deal, congrats on 'being legal'. But you forgot to put your thumb over the pic to cover the tag, LOL.

You two have come a long way since that day you posted about the other one being destroyed. I'm betting that that makes this one even sweeter...Like they say, every cloud....Congrats!

Wow. A '67 A-body with Cruise Control, Power Windows and A/C has to be pretty rare whether it's a Tempest or Lemans.
Is there a thread covering how you aquired it? I can't seem to find any other threads about it. |
