Default Hello from Germany

Hello everybody, I´m Marv 31 years old from Bremen Northern Germany.

I purchased my 68 Tempest Custom in 2014. It´s a one family car was sold new at Frahm Pontiac, Downey, CA and was inherited to the daughter in the 90s and spent its time then in Oregon.

I did the PHS, it was born Verdoro green metallic with only options 350-2bbl power steering and radio.

It became part of the family and I´ll never sell. Happy to join the community!

Hi Marv! Nice car and I'm sure it turns heads. I'be been to Germany several times and saw a few American cars like Camaros. Welcome to PY forums.

congrats on the unique (especially to 'Deutschland') car!!

It won't set any land speed records, but even though I haven't been able to (yet) visit Germany, I am sure it will stand out from the classic European vehicles you might see around - it it will probably cruise like a dream!

Those hubcaps bring back some great memories, 1 year only, 1 or 2 models only. Pretty rare these days.
Sweet!

Welcome - nice 68! Plan to retire to Lisbon and cruise the continent in the summer, perhaps we will run into one another - then I can torment you with my terrible German

Love the car. Those hubcaps are very tasteful in design, almost ahead of their time.

Welcome! Nice looking car. I have spent a little bit of time in Bremen in the early 1990's. I was engaged to a woman from Cuxhaven at the time. I always enjoyed our trips to Bremen & Bremerhaven.

Thanks everybody, these hubcaps seem to draw the attention, it was indeed a 68 only option. If you have a look at the sales brochures you´ll recognize that they promoted this model quite a lot but my guess is, that people who spent extra money on their wheels opted straight for the Rally II wheels and didn´t spend extra on hubcaps. I really like this style and they are super rare. Took 3 auctions on ebay to gather a set of 5. Pulled the dents, polished the scratches, and redid the black stripes. Plus I ordered new center lucids at Ames.

I´ll add more soon, at the moment the car is in dry storage 20 minutes away since we´ve had temperatures in the 40s for weeks now with constant drizzle

Nice car, when I was a kid there was a guy with a 68 GTO who lived in a nearby indian reservation that had those hubcaps, I thought they looked so modern, somehow they matched the ultra modern look of the sleek lines of that 68 A body!
