Good news for Oshawa
GM announced today that they are resuming production in Oshawa, to build pickups. Surging demand means that they will hire 2000 workers there, as well as more people for the St. Catharines engine plant and a distribution plant west of Toronto.
Good for them. They could use some good news in Oshawa. A GM official, who asked not to be identified, said they immediately recognized that it was a mistake closing one of their most productive and quality driven plants. My next pickup might just be a GM. |
