Default Mini windage trays, upgrades?

This little guy is from a '57 or so.
Is there any street advantage to using a full size from a later engine?
Would a later one bolt up?

If you did, don't forget to mount the tube that the dipstick runs through. It goes between the block and the baffle. At the block end it slips over the short dipstick tube that goes through the block.

I would not swap out to something newer. The longer tray would require additional means to bolt it up to the main caps. For a street engine, what you have is fine unless you plan on spinning high RPM's all the time.

I'm thinking that the front part of the early pan doesn't have enough room for a later tray. But I may be remembering wrong.
