You guys went above and beyond with that engine!

Too bad your race is gone. It was a great way to show case n/a power potential. The NMCA N/A 10.5 guys are getting done also but they are more restrictive rules

I know this issue has been debated over and over -- But the way I see it the Pontiac world has the " new product" thing all back wards. Seems like to many of them want to develop and produce on someone else's dime--let some one come up with a bag of money and then they will produce something they think will work -- pretty sweet it you can get the gig . But in the real world its more like -- If you make it we will come -- None of us wants to be a test mule for a boat load of money -- - been there done that. The list is kinda long for guys saying they will make this or that -- if you front the money -- how many of these projects have we seen actually materialize??

Well... I've got a couple boatloads of money and hundreds of hours of my [free] time into the all-aluminum DOHC blown alky hemi four cylinder Pontiac-powered lakester, which will only run at zero-purse LSR events. It's first landspeed outing won't be until October, but in a half dozen dragstrip test runs it looks promising, with no engine issues.

I hope John sees a path to finish the project soon. The Pontiac world needs more R&D, more knowledge base and more choices.

One of the things we can learn from Mike Leech is that there is no guarantee of tomorrow.

By a E head ? Nope
Trying to think of a NA High Port engine that has made more NA power, but cant.
Warp ? Not so sure. Looking at KRE stuff that are in the mid 1100HP NA, so its a wash.
DCI RAVs , nope. Maybe they will but what do you wanna bet Johns work will be involved.
Tigers ,yep. But anyone that has done it has 20K into those heads and intake.
Could have Mikes for 3800$, tried.
The big NA pump gas High Port BOP top end John did would do it, but its pump gas. But its true numbers will never be public.
John has the highest HP pump gas Pontiac, just under 10000 HP.
Calling JM smart and talented is a giant understatement.

So are you saying that Mike only had $3800 in these heads? I highly doubt that.

No, I sent him a check for 3800 $ to buy them, he died the next day. It was the only way I would be able to afford a set of heads by Marcella. IMO, the best.
Its not like he is only a fantastic intake guy and porter. He does all his work in aluminum, no epoxy. How many guys do that ?

You know those heads had SS ex vales right ? Stock Edelbrock iron vale guides right ??
Come on big guy, show me the High Port head/porter who has made more NA power than that lil ol set of Marcella E heads ????? Come on now, waiting............
You are the guy who bragged about having a bottom end as good as Johns. Had you big bad Barton High Ports with ti valves.(and every intake known to mankind) You came up short, like everyone else.
Show me the NA RAV head that beats that engine ???????
The ones that beat it are BIG DOLLAR Tigers done by Uncle Tony.
You might have some 25K Visner billets that beat that lil ol E head NA.
Where are the billet canted valve Warp heads that beat that steel rod, puny E head single 4 engine, ? Waiting .................
You are just a mark for Barton accepting your checks, a source. Hey, your money is green right ?????? Why not. He gets paid well for making your stuff. So you can post up 3 sets of heads "for conversation".( center of attention, ya think ?)

Nah, I always just remember some advice given to me by a very wise and accomplished man around here. It was to never take advice from a guy who keeps blowing his $h!^ up. I believe it was you, and you were not the guy who gave me the advice.
