Default Decal Locations?

Does anybody know the location for these decals for a 70 TA?
Jack Instructions - Does this go on the right or left hand side of the trunk?
Keep you car GM - I know this goes on the air cleaner but not sure where.
Tire Pressure - I'm guessing this goes in the neighborhood of the driver's door, but not sure where.
GM foil decal - I know where this goes on the driver's door. Does the passenger door get one too?
As always - Thanks for the help!

Jack instructions go on the right side of the deck lid.
Wheel instructions go inside the square indentation on the right hand side of the glove box door. The one you show is wrong for 70, should be JW instead of KN
Foil... only on the driver's side. Not sure if that's the right shade of blue.
Air cleaner, depends on the type used, best to look at old pics.

Can anyone else shed further light on the laast two items?

My (73) jack instructions are on the left side.
Is this wrong, cause I believe its unmolested, or is the location different from year to year?
I've always wondered why it would be on the brace and not a nice flat area.

I think it depends on where the worker approached the trunk from ....i've seen them both sides middle to back end.

Yeap, Close your eyes spin around three times and Fire !
If you know where the original sat its a no brainer. That or take a survey of original cars and replicate the norm.

Not true, but I used to think the same thing. The letters on the placard apparently have nothing to do with the letters on the rim. Look in the Assembly Manual in section 10 - Wheels and Tires and you'll see that each placard has a unique two letter combination along with the normal part number. Neither 1970 nor 1971 has a placard with a JW letter combination.

The KN means WS4 or W66, which could have had Honeycombs, too.

Here's a snippet from the 1970 assembly manual for those that don't have a copy.

Oh, and that same section shows where they at least intended the jack instructions to go.

Air cleaner decal - goes on the LH (driver') side behind the snorkel. I have never seen an original one in the front or on the right.
Foil GM decal - I'll probably get a fight over this one, but I don't think these cars ever had them. I think they were a '60's thing that was retired with the first gen.

TA455HO, Okay... Hadn't noticed that info in my manual yet. I've got a g. box door with the KN coded sticker on it, but I wasn't sure what year it was from. That can be a little confusing until you see the list -- same wheel label code as rim code, hmmm. The manual also shows it to be placed on the left, but mine's on the right. ...Whatever the workers on the line felt like doing.

I've found that the jack instructions are usually on the right -- makes sense, right above the jack -- and affixed mostly in the flattest area. Manual shows right.

If I recall correctly, my 73 has the jack instructions on the left side on the brace. Just like Tunas73TA

Yes, all air cleaners should have had a "keep your GM car all GM" sticker that also had the air filter number such as A366C, but more importantly had the two letter assembly code and air cleaner part number. The correct two letter code will be on the build sheet and in the assembly manual. These were different for each application and not all decal versions are reproduced.

One more decal question. I have a WS "lick and stick" decal for the engine. I seems like pretty lightweight paper that will last about 10 minutes with the engine running. Does anybody have any experience with these? Would I be better off just not using it?
Thanks

The air cleaner decal should be on the LH side at about 8:30 looking down on the air cleaner with the front of the car at 12 oclock. I will attach the best picture that I have on this computer. I repainted this air cleaner and put a repro decal on based on witness marks from the original decal. It looks like "RR" is the correct code for a RAIII formula air cleaner housing BTW.

Also I will post an original paint '70 Van Nuys decklid picture and a close-up of an original paint Norwood decklid. I dotted lined where this Norwood decal is located on the Van Nuys picture as it may not be apparent. The "correct" location is listed in the assembly manual and neither deck lid is true to the manual. I think the line workers stuck it wherever was convenient!
Also there is a "second" square decal on the Van Nuys decklid. Most of the decal is gone but I assume this was a limited-slip decal but can't be certain.

If it's that bad, you could use it to make a template and paint the letters on the block. Just an idea.
