Question 72 HO Fan/pulley bolts?
Had a water pump 482138 Date code K091 redone by Flowkooler, My Issue is the fine thread bolt that held the pulley on old water pump are now wrong. This water pump has course treads. Confused
Does this use studs and nuts? This in an AC Car, I have a 7 blade fan 18 3/4 with part number 9796134. Will this work? Is there a spacer? Can some one sent diagram or photos of what is correct?

Studs with nuts are correct with clutch fans (AC cars), no spacer. Will ck in the shop on correct fan part number. Believe you have the correct one, '70-74 Firebird AC fan is aprox an inch smaller diam than the common LeMans-GTO-GP-B series 7 blade AC fan that is often misrepresented as "GTO/ Firebird" usage on eBay.

Stud kits for the water pump are cheap.

If I've understood this correctly:
1) The water pump was rebuilt; 2) The new water pump end, on which the fan connects, now does not have the fine thread, but is drilled and tapped for a coarse thread bolt. To me, that's a problem. I have studs for mounting clutch fans; The end of the stud that threads into the water pump end is still a fine thread - while the end of the stud which uses nuts to hold the clutch fan in place is coarse. If I have understood this correctly, please contact flowkooler, and keep us posted.

Edited. The water pump flange is a 5/16 -24 ( fine thread). ( 1970-71, and 72 pumps checked) . The clutch end of the stud is 5/16 -18 ( coarse) If you find a water pump that has coarse on the flange, just use a coarse piece of threaded 5/16 rod. Or buy studs that are coarse on both ends.

Unruhjohhny is correct, and I will reach out to FlowKooler to ask. Being Fair I bought waterpump for ebay and never thought to check condition of threads. Also Flowkooler should have caught that the core may have been no good for that reason. I will update after reaching out to FlowKooler.
I would like to Go with Formulabruce suggestion. I order studs that are course and fine, so can is just use these studs? Course in pump and Fine to hold fan? As a kid I switch the bolts doing my first water pump and a jeep, and if caused fan to come off. I am not looking for history to repeat itself. Also looking for a single HO Head Bolt the comes with a stud? This is the bolt the air conditioning lower bracket attaches to I imagine A stud could be welded on, but would prefer bolt. Again thanks for the help.

If you are not going stock, then I'd suggest just getting coarse/coarse studs... or find corresponding fine thread nuts to secure the fan to the water pump.

Water Pump Corrected
Send Waterpump back to Flowkooler for opinion. I also included a NOS waterpump hub from a GM waterpump rebuild kit. FlowKooler was great and correct problem by installing new hub and shipped back the same day they received pump. I had back in a week. Thanks all for the comments
( FlowKooler thought a Chrysler Hub was Used)
