aftermarket seat mounts

got some offbrand seats with sliders to put in my 67 lemans. my question is should I buy some brackets to mount it to the floor, or should I try and find some that mount to the original seat mounts? I replaced my floorboards and don't have the original brackets welded in yet so I could either way.
