Default Comfort Weave Material

Does anyone know where I might find some NOS or excellent used comfort weave material in dark blue for my '70 GTO?

Possibly SMS. you'll just have to call.

It's a shame no one has repopped this exact material since a TON of GM cars used it.

After waiting 3 months, the comfort weave material arrived. My plan is to ask Legendary to make the seat covers using the material.

I found several suppliers when looking for comfortweave
just search all the old upholstery shops and burn the phone lines up.
none of them were as high as SMS,which at that time was $75 yd.

SMS is high priced, any other suppliers your willing to share would be appreciated.

Original Auto Interior is the other company, link below.... and actually had/has more CW then SMS....ime (five years back)

Really nice guys, think there were two gear heads that owned the business, but the last time I worked with them was 5-6 years ago.

They know the different make model trim and colors very well, know whats in stock most times from memory.

Both SMS and OAI had teams/feelers out buying all the remaining old unused CW, Vinyl and Trim up the last 10 years...even small leftovers he told me.

I heard few months ago black CW is getting very scarce. Other car mfgs used it also.

Cant remember his name at OAI....have a file on them but would have to dig.

Good Luck...Jeff

Does Original heat stamp the two inch spaced lines into the CW? When I spoke with SMS, I was told that there were several large, expensive machines used to create the woven vinyl and that most were destroyed in a fire.
Make sure you give whoever you use the correct dimensions of the original heat stamped lines, because there are a specific numbers of them before there's a gap at the bottom of the seat backs -- at least on Firebirds.
