Were they one of the special paint examples given away to top sellers of that women's makeup company?

Some were given away for Mary Kay but not sure what model.
Either way rare and desirable pushes up prices . This is rare, NOT very desirable

less cars + less demand = less price
Less cars + lots of demand = higher price
There’s a difference.

I guess only time will tell which this is but I don’t think the pink firebirds have done well sale wise

1968 Sexist brain on;

probably has the 2bbl version, given its intended customers.

Sexist brain off.

So what? rare does not always translate to desirable.

Reading the ad copy is enough to give one a migraine.

It was actually one of the special order colors offered by Pontiac that year. Every once in a while one of these pops up. Firebirds too.
In fact, there's a LeMans on the ultimate GTO site in the exact color combo.

I read last week that Nancy Sinatra had a pink 68 Firebird. There was a short video on YouTube.

Neat that it survived, and has original docs (if the huckster selling it can be believed).
Worth restoring, but certainly not at that asking price.

It would certainly be a gamble but if someone was to restore that car to a high degree and present it at one of the big auction houses, all it would take is that one guy with deep pockets who just had to have it for his wife, daughter, or whatever, then the rarity would work in the seller's favor.

It's not even a "nice" pink.

(If there is such a thing).

Did a little research

"In the 50 years, vehicles from each of four of our brands – Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac – have been included in the Mary Kay Career Car Program," said Jason Ralph, the fleet account executive at General Motors Fleet, who manages the Mary Kay account.

Evidently Pontiac wasn't included.

What time frame was the quote from?
If recent they may not have included Pontiac since it is not a part of GM now? (or Olds either?)

Didn't Nancy Sinatra have some pink Pontiacs?
