Default '69 GP exhaust

I have a '69 GP SJ w/428 and 4spd. I just had the engine rebuilt w/ HO cam and a few other goodies. I bought a set of HO exhaust manifolds from Ames Performance. Even with a mini high torque starter there wasn't enough space to install the right manifold. Do you know of anyone that has had this problem? Were they able to install the HO manifolds?

Unfortuneately, I'm going to have to go with a set of headers. Can someone recommend a brand. Also, how much will they cost?

Your imput will be greatly appreciated.
