I have a complete cc kit from a '70 that I planned to install. The actuator mounts on the fenderwell like yours, but the servo/bellows mounts there also and pulls the throttle with a cable instead of that chain you have. I was going to install it anyway, but I sure would like to have the correct setup. I don't know if it will mount over the valve cover with my dual snorkel air cleaner, though.

Let me know when the time comes, Joe.

just curious, why do you want to get rid of the cruise if it ends up working? those old systems actually work good. nice to have on a longer ride. just because it wasn't available with a standard trans, doesn't mean it won't work.

I just thought it might look funny on a 4-speed car. I usually like to make things look as correct as possible if that makes sense. I like a nice clean, correct, stock look...

Before you switch everything out for the 4 speed. You might want to check the gear ratio of the rear end. 3.23 was standard but 2.93 was an optional gear.Making a 4000lbs car with a 2.93 and a close ratio 4 speed might not be too much fun. But at least hills are a minimum in Florida.
