'65 exhaust manifolds?
Quick question, are the factory '65 389 exhaust manifolds a direct fit on a 1963 block?

Yes, the manifolds will bolt to both '63 and '65 heads.
Both are very common heads of the 'D-port' exhaust variety, all of the D-port heads from the late '50s on up can use the same exhaust manifolds. More than 99.999% of all Pontiacs use D-port heads, just a very few rare Ram Air, Super Duty and High-Output engines don't use them. All you really need to be sure of is whether or not the exhaust manifolds will fit your particular chassis, bolting up the manifolds to the heads really is not an issue. |
