Default Rolling Stones remote performance

Didn't catch it on TV but I watched it this morning on the computer. That Mick Jagger can still kick it, he looked and sounded great after all these years. Couple of the other guys were phoning it in, but at least two of them still seem dedicated musicians. Heck, I didn't even know Mick could play guitar. Voice sounded great for his age.

Saw them in the Houston Astrodome on their '81 tour...….their final tour. ZZ Top opened along with the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Van Halen even opened for them somewhere on the '81 tour.

The fireworks and the balloon drop was killer in the dome . Tickets around $18 and 87,000 plus filled the arena

Hey heyday of arena rock ... good times.

That would have been kind of dream lineup for me.

Charlie Watts was the epitome of cool. Kinda stole the show. He took it serious.

Don't remember a balloon drop or fireworks. Do remember a guy passed out on the Dome floor from the time my gf and I arrived until maybe 10 minutes before the Stones left the stage. No one ever checked on him until security dragged him out.

Summer of '75 tour. Philly Spectrum with The Commodores as opening act.
I was working in a garage in Manyunk at the time. Around 11 a.m. on a Friday, also payday, they announced on the radio that Stones tickets had just gone on sale at the Spectrum. My boss was a friend and asked him if I could go to lunch early to get the tickets. He not only agreed but gave me the keys to his '69 Chevelle SS 396 so I wouldn't waste much time. Got to the Spectrum and there was hardly anybody there. I walked right up to the ticket window and asked if Stones tickets were on sale. The girl said "Yes, limit of 4" . Perfect. Got 4 seats where I wanted. Great show and good times back then! The "boss" and I are still good friends to this day.

Love that shirt! Nothing says the 80's more than a baseball sleeved concert T. Had a few that like everything else got thrown away.

Didn't see the show on tv the othernight, I was watching something intelligent (svengoolie, LOL), I did go there during a couple of commercials, I couldn't turn back fast enough. Hope what the stones did was better than what I saw.
I listened to the stones, but was INTO them back in the day, could care less either way but a group of my friends got tickets to the 81 show in Philly. I remember they were expensive, maybe 2 or 3 times the reg price and that's the main reason I didn't go. When I asked them about the show afterwards they said that they got so "messed up" in the parking lot they didn't even make it in!!

I remember in the 80's coming back from a Van Halen concert, four of us in a 70's Buick Electra (Deuce and a Quarter) ... guy named Bob was driving, we were totally ripped. On the Interstate .... I'm in the back seat .... we pass our exit ... ok, ... we pass the next exit ... I reach up and tap Bob on the shoulder and .... he wakes up! He had been asleep for about five miles and that 225 drove itself just fine ... who needs a Tesla

Too funny, looking back I cant believe some of the stuff we did. My buddy Josh had a mid 60's BIG Chrysler wagon.
