Default 69-70, 71-72 Rear Bumper Fillers / pockets

How many would be interested in purchasing new repro rear bumper filler /pockets.
If enough interest I'll finish the project, have them made. Price will depend on interest
and final costs. I do this for my employer why not us GP guys? Thanks Joe!

I don't even own a '69 to '72 GP right now, but I'd buy at least one of each for future use. I'm sure you'd have no problem selling them! Are you a member of the 69gp72 group on Yahoo by chance? There would be a bunch more buyers for these pockets there as well.

Any chance of doing the '69 front turn signal/park lamp lenses as well???

Put me down for a 69/70 one...but it would have to be made better than the ones PY and Ames sold years ago...they were junk...the sides were sprung inward so that when it was bolted in it did not fit tightly against the bumper sides...make sure it is outward sprung and you will be able to sell all you can make.

I would also be interested in a '69 pocket if the quality was very close to original. These things always come down to whether you can get your tooling costs back with a reasonable part price. Figuring how many of these rascals you can sell is the tough part. - Steve

Depending on price and what I have going on at the time, I'd be in for a 72 unit.

Smile Would these be molded, silver plastic as the original or fiberglass?

If molded plastic as the originals, I'd be in for an even dozen to fit 1969 and 1970.

I agree that the quality should be superior, even if it meant more $$$ from me (purchaser).

SO do you have the ability to do the 71-72 AC air dam too???

Every GP out there needs the pocket for the bumper.

Every 71-72 needs the air dam.

I have a NOS air dam for pattern.

PM me.

BTW, Dave I found a red rat with white stripes....454, 4 gears etc....Like the silver car. shoudl I chase it for you?

Also, I'd be in for 10 of each pocket if price was decent. Figure to do a few more of these cars in the next 40 years.

I'd commit to 2 or 3 1971-1972 pockets if affordable with good quality...

Default One step closer to making the pockets!

Hey guys, I'm one step closer to doing these pockets. I just invested more $ to get going. Glad to see positive feedback about possible orders too. What would you guys consider a price that would work for a fair volume of sales for a nice part?
Also I would have to do one era at a time 69-70 or 71-72, unless I get more order interest. I'm not on Yahoo site yet but if I continue to get order interest this is a go and could happen relatively soon. Yes Air dams are possible also. Thanks, Dean

I would have no problem @ $100 each for 69/70 pocket...if they are of very good quality.

Default Pockets Moving Forward

Well I am mioving forward with the project. I am in the thick of it getting the engineering done right. That is very important. Price will not be available for a while yet. Starting with the 69-70, see how that goes. Hope there is enough interest to do the 71-72 after. I hope to have parts in 1-3 months, depends how it goes. Dean
