nice looking car, good find.

the 455 cars came standard with a 3.07 geared 12 bolt, with a 3.31 optional.

a warmed up 455, even with 3.07's, will move that car around with authority.

Seems like a good car so far. Thanks for the gear info. I'll know more soon as I start working on it. Waiting on tires before rolling it off the trailer. PHS order went out today.

The lead I had on survivor quality seats didn't pan out. I'd really like to score a pair of buckets before I put new material in the car --

oh I don't like the picture of the GP on the trailer with nose to the rear. I can see that the truck in front is a big dually but still like to see the motor end toward the tongue for the weight distribution and towing traction.

Relax. It was a trailer to trailer transfer 5 miles away. Not my first rodeo.

Love the look of your car- does it have the standard seats or leather? I'm sure you know this already but the 70 leather was completely different than the 69.

Standard seats. I doubt I'll find nice used replacements and I don't want new covers in a survivor style car. I might try new padding with repair pieces while utilizing as much original material as possible. The back seat is good while the buckets show the usual 100k mile outside bolster wear.

Talked to the second owner today while doing some background. Good stories from her and possibly some old pictures coming my way. I also now have the original owner's contact info --

Was this taken at your place? That's the kind of snow we are suppossed to get, and we have only had a trace this year. Nice GP by the way!

Banshee is not that far away. snow and ice, schools closed, 11 degrees yesterday morning, all of a sudden, several inches of snow. everything melts, Varsity playing baseball this afternoon, hardly any wind, near 60

Yeah. Hopefully the last mess of the year. Nice days ahead and much to get done in the shop.

Nothing so far seems out of place. Engine turns over by hand. I'll have it opened up this weekend. Haven't done anything else with the car since getting tires. Have had to deal with an old pup in her last weeks and the bi-monthly work fubar.

Thanks. I hope so. I'm still digging into her. Engine feels pretty good turning over by hand, given the 40k showing on the od. Lots of worn out parts, but they are original worn out parts. Even the water pump is numbers.

Parted out a extremely rusty one very much like that a few years ago. It was 70 SJ 455 triple black AC auto with bench seat and old cocaine snorting kit up under the seat cushion and a shot glass in the glove box
